Email is Dead, Long Live Email
Despite a never-ending barrage of so-called marketing experts telling me and everyone else in the universe that email is dead or dying, I for one see a re-born marketing and sales tool that is thriving more than ever now.
Thanks to a particular pandemic that will not go away, more emails are being sent from businesses vying for your attention more than ever, and probably without you noticing. The need to keep business moving and keep its customers informed has seen considerable growth in companies reviewing their email data and profiling their customers correctly.
What is Email Marketing?
Email marketing is the act of sending a commercial message, typically to a group of people, using email. In its broadest sense, every email sent to a potential or current customer could be considered email marketing.
More durable than ever, is your business email marketing strategy driving leads for sales growth?
Despite the rise of social media and unsolicited spam email, email remains the most effective way to nurture leads and turn them into customers.
There are many reasons you should make email marketing one of your top priorities, but here are the top 3:
1. Email is the number 1 communication channel. Did you know that at least 99% of consumers check their email daily?
2. You own your list. On any social media platform, your account (along with all your fans and posts) could be suspended or deleted at any time, for any reason, without notice. However, you own your email list. No one can take those leads away from you.
3. Email converts better. People who buy products marketed through email spend 138% more than those who do not receive email offers. Email marketing has an ROI (returns on investment) of 4400%.
Why focus on email?
Not so much an entire focus, but certainly a nod to what your email strategy is can be a vital part of your business survival over the coming months. With an estimated email sent every 0.00000000656 seconds from 247 billion worldwide sends each day, it is a marketing service that will serve you well – if you get it right.
Please go on, read those spam emails and think about who sent them and why. But don’t click on a particular link of course….

4 年Emails are still a very important tool as business strategies... Just as you mentioned in the article: "you own the email". So, once you have a prospect's email address, you've got a lot more control. And, as my mentor always tells me... "If people want to see goofy and funny things, they WhatsApp or Instagram or Facebook. Emails are very important things like tickets for a concert, bills you need to pay. You want to be important." Great article, Brad!
