The email that changed it all for me...

The email that changed it all for me...

It's Monday, Sep 21st, 2020. As I started my work, organizing tasks, meetings, and all the rest as usual as normal Mondays, I received an email.

It was from Bank of America, and the email said: "Welcome to your new account, Abdullah".

I was shocked, like literally. I stared at the screen for a few minutes, not believing what I saw.

It's like a dream come true for me.

Finally, being able to operate as a US company, having a working Stripe account, a Paypal account, and all the tools I need to scale my own business.

As someone who doesn't live in the US, it was challenging for me to run my US business.

I had to use 2-3 different banks to be able to get paid. I sometimes had to wait 30-60 days to get funds released from payment processors.

Hence, having to convince clients to use wire transfers, not being able to invest appropriately in my business due to very low limits on local cards.

To be honest, I hated it all.

But that day, that Monday, everything changed. Now, I have business bank accounts, a US LLC, an EIN, and everything I need to operate as smoothly as I want to.

You might be wondering, why is it such a big deal for you? I don't blame you, opening a bank account that's super easy for most people, especially those who live in the US, it's taken for granted, but for me, it was much more difficult than that.

This whole process took me around 4 months to do from beginning to end. I was told in the beginning that it's not possible, the IRS was shut down, and we’re living in uncertain times.

It didn't stop me. I knew there was always a way…

If I can figure out how to help businesses scale to 6 figs months consistently, I knew I could figure out a way to get a US bank account.

As much as I'd LOVE - at this very moment - to brag about my discipline and determination, it wasn't always like that.

I tried a long time ago and got nowhere.

I quit fast

I took "NO" for an answer and just accepted my reality.

I was defeated and didn't have the courage, or the self-confidence that I could overcome those challenges.

Back then, my thought was that I wasn’t good enough to be successful, I needed to become a different person, and when that happened and only when that happened, I’d be able to achieve what I want in life and business.

Seeing all the success out there made me feel back then like I was the problem, maybe I wasn’t smart enough, or I just wasn’t ready for this.

What has really changed for me was reading stories much like the one I’m sharing with you here. Stories that gave me hope, showed me I didn't need to hate myself for not being disciplined enough or determined enough, and that I needed to accept that I'm not perfect and didn’t need to be.

I just needed to slowly and steadily take action towards my dreams.

Realizing that taking imperfection action was the very thing that would shape my life the way I'd always dreamt it could be was a game changer.

Every time I would encounter a problem in my business or clients' businesses and would be able to solve it, get results, it would strengthen my self-confidence.

Every time I'm faced with a challenge and take imperfection my self-esteem soared.

There have been many people involved in my transformation over the years and I'm beyond grateful for their help. Especially because I’ve now reached a point in my journey where I can turn back and help someone just like me achieve the life and business of their dreams.

What are the small action steps you could take today to make progress towards that dream? Comment below and let me know…

Thank you for sharing! You hit on so many points that many of us go through especially the "imposter syndrome". Everyone has a story and it needs to be shared as there is one person out there that it could be truly life-changing for.
