At Elmya we reinforce our return to the United Kingdom with a large photovoltaic project together with Innova

Last September, Elmya EPC, our company dedicated to the execution of industrial projects in renewable energy, signed an agreement for the design and construction of a solar energy plant with an approximate capacity of 27.5MWp in the United Kingdom. With this agreement, at Elmya we expand our British EPC portfolio, where we have been present since 2011, emphasising our position in the energy sector.

Elmya will be responsible for the construction of the Ducklington Farm photovoltaic plant in West Oxfordshire County (United Kingdom) for Innova Renewables, a renewable energy business with over 60 projects under development in the UK using a wide range of innovative solutions, combining PV with BESS, totalling more than 24GW in all.

Innova Renewables is committed to the development, acquisition, and operation of innovative renewable projects that provide decentralised and regeneration energy solutions for decarbonisation and environmental sustainability, as well as local communities.

From Elmya we will supervise all phases of the Ducklington Farm project with a capacity of approximately 27.5 MWp, from design and construction to commissioning and operation of the plant. Additionally, for this project, we will prioritize hiring and supporting local workforce and community resources, making it a positive partnership for all parties involved.

The solar power plant is expected to be operating in January 2025 and generate enough electricity to power over 13,300 households while preventing the emission of 12,585 tons of CO2. Elmya will leverage the most advanced and innovative technology to achieve the highest possible yields in a country with less solar radiation than many other European markets.

Our first international project in the UK was in 2011. Since then, we have connected 2.5GWp worldwide. Specifically, in the British market, Elmya has experience with 30 projects and 165MWp connected.

"The United Kingdom has become a strategic market for Elmya. Therefore, this agreement with Innova Renewables is a significant step in its consolidation and development within our company. We were already present in this country through our business unit Elmya Energy, and now the return of our EPC division to a market where we have always felt at home," explains Rodríguez Pagano.
