Strong economies make strong communities.
Earlier this month, the Elk Grove City Council approved The Small Business Permit Assistance Program to assist small businesses with the costs of obtaining City planning and/or building permits and approvals required to construct or retrofit commercial space. The program will provide financial assistance in the form of grants up to $10,000 for small businesses with less than 20 employees and revenues under $3 million dollars.
“This program will lower the barriers to entry or expansion for small businesses by reducing the upfront costs of obtaining permits and approvals for their project,” said Darrell Doan, Economic Development Director. “It’s another way we can support new businesses starting up or expanding in our City during these still challenging economic times.”
The program is being finalized and applications will be accepted soon. Follow www.investelkgrove.org for more information as it becomes available. Contact us at [email protected] or (916) 627-3338 for assistance with your business startup or expansion project.
