Elk Grove Grant Program Awards up to $70,000 in Grants

In July 2021, the City of Elk Grove launched the?Small Business Permit Assistance Program . Since then, seven small businesses have already been approved for grants funds, which help offset?permit fees up to $10,000 related to obtaining city approvals for?these?new or expanding businesses.?

The first round of?grantees?include:

• A Seat at the Table - a new, independent bookstore located at 9257 Laguna Springs Drive, #30?
• Sprinkles on Top - a new, family owned full-service dessert shop located at 9630 Bruceville Road
• Sharkey's Cuts for Kids - a new children's?hair salon located at 8246 Laguna Boulevard, #360
• Flatland Brewing - expansion?of an existing brewery tasting room located at 9183 Survey Road, #104
• The UPS store - a new, locally owned store at 4900 Elk Grove Boulevard
• Armaan's Palace Event Hall - expansion of an?existing?event venue located at 2301 Longport Court??
• 31 Tap - a new taproom and eatery at 8949 Elk Grove Boulevard

To be eligible, a small business must have less than 20 employees, generate less than $3M in annual revenue, and be physically located in Elk Grove in a commercial space.?The Program is?ongoing and?accepting applications.
