The?Problem:

This property is in Anaheim, CA. The ownership group has invested considerable resources to revitalize the complex. The client had engaged another security company who advertised they provide remote monitoring. This other company was using video verification (motion detection) instead of analytics to detect intruders. During the other company’s tenure, they had multiple failures resulting in tens of thousands of dollars in losses to their property as well as property of their tenants. The client also experienced poor service from the other provider resulting in constant video losses.

The Solution:

Elite was able to leverage some of the?existing infrastructure, such as mounting points, conduit lines and monitoring?rooms. New CAT6 cables were run to the cameras to replace the outdated analog cameras the client had on property. We installed new IP?cameras at all the entrances and known points that people have been using to gain access to the property. Our cameras at the parking entrances can capture a car’s license plates and our AI was set to alert our agents when someone is loitering around cars for longer than we deemed normal activity. The car ports had been one of the most concerning pain points for this client. Elite added additional technology such as thermal cameras and pan/tilt/zoom cameras to be able to follow suspect’s path of travel. Elite uses these tools to guide law enforcement to where the subjects in question are. ?

The Results:

The system was?installed in late 2019 and already has been showing consistent benefits. In the last 12 months, Elite has recorded 30,230 events resulting in 165 voice-downs asking subjects to leave the property. Of these 165 interventions, we have had 21 calls to Anaheim PD which has resulted in 8 police detainments and arrests. Our client is highly satisfied and says the increase in security efficacy is night and day.
