ELHURT EMS: Summary of the second quarter of the year
Elhurt Dystrybucja
Jako zespó? profesjonalistów dobieramy rozwi?zania do urz?dzeń z wielu bran?, nawet tych najbardziej wymagaj?cych.
Another quarter of 2022 has come to an end. How do you now assess the situation regarding the liquidity of material deliveries? Is it better?
S?awomir Tkacz: Unfortunately, the situation on the markets for raw materials and components necessary to produce electronic modules remains difficult. I feel that it is even worse compared to the first quarter. We are currently experiencing significant price increases, sometimes even several times per quarter. However, we are particularly concerned about the decreasing verifiability of the declared delivery dates for components. In addition, new difficulties have arisen because of the economic sanctions imposed on Russia and Belarus. Demand is still at an elevated level, but the prospect of an improvement in the situation is probably postponed until 2023.
Have there been any new developments on the Elhurt EMS production floor over the last few months?
S?awomir Tkacz: ELHURT EMS has recently invested in a state-of-the-art electronic module washing system , which is designed to increase the level of cleanliness, process efficiency and even better performance in terms of an environmental approach.
Another extremely important project was the switch to the new production management system ASM 3.0. This system allows us to plan and conduct production even better, and all component activities can be described in even more detail. This innovation will significantly improve our work.
Several trade fairs this year are already behind us. Is the industry slowly returning to normality and event attendance recovering from pandemic times?
S?awomir Tkacz: One of the positive news for 2022 is the slow lifting of the Covid-19 restrictions. Of course, in each country this process looks a little different and proceeds at a different pace. However, this has made it possible for ELHURT EMS to return to trade fair activity, which has been impossible in recent times. Therefore, we have already managed to participate in 4 different trade fairs, and by the end of the year we have more planned. It seems that in this respect we are slowly getting back to normal, and interest in trade fairs is probably even greater than in pre-pandemic times. This may also result from the need to meet people and have direct contact, which is increasingly difficult in the era of online meetings. Unfortunately, the main topics we encounter at trade fairs are the problems of supply chains, the impact of war on business and rising product costs. There is also a real desire to diversify production, to leave Far East suppliers and focus on European EMS contractors.
