Elevating Your Workplace Productivity & Culture
What does productivity look like to you? Hmm, is it accomplishing tons of tasks left, and right? Taking in more work than you could possibly handle? Saying yes to passed-down tasks from other team members? Ticking off all items from your to-do list? Well, we can go on and on in terms of defining what productivity really is.??
I was introduced to the concept “Productivity” when I was still in college. As we all know, college is the trial phase of the real world.?So pressure is at an all-time high during this period and we’re all forced to step up the plate just to survive. But there were several moments where I found myself burnt out?rather than fulfilled. That's when I stepped back and asked, “How can productivity feel fulfilling rather than daunting?”??
I realized; I may be productive but fueled by stress.?
Productivity Digest?
Stress, in this presentation, was viewed as?the body's natural response to a perceived threat. However, in today's fast-paced and often overwhelming world, the stress response can be triggered by a multitude of seemingly minor stressors, leading to chronic, low-grade stress that can wreak havoc on our physical and mental well-being.??

The corporate world is a whole other level of training ground. Working for over 5 years now, I had my fair share of frustration not just with work in general but with myself – trying to pour out my best in all aspects of my professional journey. So, I pushed myself and stretched myself too thin. I thought that was PEAK PRODUCTIVITY. Learned it the hard way but I'm glad I stumbled upon this workshop. ??
I appreciated how simple yet powerful the steps were. You might think at first, “Hmm these are just conventional tactics” but towards the end, you’ll ponder hard on how all these – when added up, will contribute a lot to building your productivity habits that will eventually transcend to creating a great environment for yourself and culture in your workplace. ??
While short bursts of stress can help boost performance and focus our attention, chronic stress is a different beast. It can sap our energy, cloud our judgment, and negatively impact our relationships. It can even lead to burnout, a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion that can take months or even years to recover from.
Why Should I Even Care About this Workshop???
Productivity, seen and believed as the holy grail of the corporate world, can be a hollow metric if devoid of human context. Forget the relentless pursuit of mere output; true productivity is unveiled when individuals feel valued, engaged, and empowered to contribute their unique talents within a supportive ecosystem. ??

Knowing what’s good and bad stress:??
Surprised that there’s actually good stress? Well, you’re not alone! The presentation clearly drew the line between the two. ??
Imagine good stress as a gentle nudge, a shot of adrenaline that propels you forward. It's the feeling before a big presentation, the excitement of a new challenge, and the focus you harness to meet a deadline. On the other hand, imagine bad stress as a relentless storm, a dark cloud that drains your energy and casts a shadow over your life. It's the chronic worry about bills, the constant pressure of work deadlines, and the overwhelming feeling of being out of control.?
Wrapping it Up!?
Applicable in all aspects of life, creating a positive and productive culture is an ongoing process, not a one-time fix. By consistently investing in your people and cultivating a supportive environment, you can unlock the true potential of your workforce and achieve lasting success.??
