Elevating your team: A Guide to Unleashing Potential with CliftonStrengths

We often discuss success, but what does it truly entail, especially as we navigate the ever-changing terrain of modern workplaces?

The crucial elements I have observed at our clients and from research include cultivating a culture of collaboration and empowering individuals.

Sure, but how do you do that?

One powerful tool that has been able to bridge both at the same time and that helps transforming teams worldwide is Gallup's CliftonStrengths. I have fallen in love with this tool in 2017 and I have used in on individuals, teams and organization's development since.

In this article, I won't delve into what the Cliftonstrengths is, but rather some of what can be done with this tool. How can we use this assessment in a corporate environment to leverage Talents and Potential?

?? Step 1: Understanding the Foundation

Before embarking on the CliftonStrengths journey, it's crucial to lay the groundwork. The top management needs to be comfortable with a Strengths-based approach and to be familiarized with the 34 unique strengths in the assessment.

This part is fun. And it's the bedrock for all the transformation ahead: encourage self-discovery and awareness through Strengths always starts with oneself.

For this step, you can host a Gallup CliftonStrengths introduction to your leadership team and start to open the discussion around potential and people's growth in your company.

?? Step 2: Personal and Team Strengths Mapping

Empower your team members to identify their top strengths. This not only enhances self-awareness but also sets the stage for a collective understanding of the diverse skill set within the team.

?? Step 3: Building a Strengths-Driven Culture

Integrate CliftonStrengths into your team's daily interactions. You could start with your employee review system and making sure all team members are discussing their Strengths in their review.

Establish a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging open dialogue. Regular check-ins and feedback sessions based on CliftonStrengths empower individuals to refine their strengths application and contribute more effectively to the team's goals

This positive enforcement will remind your team members to take ownership of their own Strengths and use them regularly.
