Why tackling fast-fashion
Fast fashion fuels a hidden environmental crisis, driving nearly 10% of global carbon emissions, consuming 79 billion cubic meters of water annually, and generating 92 million tons of waste each year. The vibrant colors we love? They contribute to 20% of the world’s wastewater, highlighting the true cost of disposable clothing.
Fashion-forward with Dress and Infinitex
Fashion rental models offer a powerful solution to the environmental challenges posed by fast fashion. By extending the lifecycle of garments, they can reduce carbon emissions by 24%, cut clothing waste by 33%, and conserve 35% of the water used in production.

Let’s put it in an example: - Zara is selling a very nice evening dress, which the customer potentially only wears once. (Today with online sales the customer might even wear the dress once and send it back anyway.) - The customer wears the dress and brings it back to Zara who buys it back at 30% (if as good as new). Customer is happy because she actually bought that dress at 30% discounts this way. - Zara puts the dress back in their store at 60% of the original retail price. They get an additional 30% of profit on the dress. Is this practice cannibalising the sales of new dresses? Of course it does, but it doesn’t necessarily affect profit margins. And if there are no secondhand dresses on sale, customers will buy a new one because they know they can return it (10% difference).
Rental models are the way forward, and making it easier than ever for consumers to make sustainable choices.
