Starting with the foundational Infection Control Mastery Workshop, the week progressed with the IPSG Interactive Journey, the Docspro Documentation Workshop, and the Smartsafe Forum, before culminating in a grand celebration recognizing the tireless efforts of our healthcare teams.

The Infection Control Mastery celebrating the fundamentals of infection prevention #IIPW2023 addressed Hand Hygiene Heroes and Sharps Safety Sensation with emphasis on the basics, yet vital practices, reminding us that the simple acts of handwashing and safe handling of sharps can create a world of difference. The workshop also addressed the Waste Warriors and PPE Perfection showcasing the synergy between environmental consciousness and patient safety. In a world where sustainability is of paramount importance, integrating it into our healthcare practices is non-negotiable.
2. The IPSG Interactive Journey reaffirmed the commitment to holistic patient safety, addressing everything from effective communication to ensuring safe surgeries. It did not only emphasize on global patient safety benchmarks but uniquely integrated insights from multidisciplinary teams at Fakeeh University Hospital, ensuring bespoke solutions tailored for our community. As I pen down my reflections on this monumental week, I must pay homage to my mentor in quality Dr. Samar Badreddine , the belief in the potential for genuine change, the unwavering dedication to the pursuit of excellence, and the relentless drive to ensure that quality isn't just a buzzword but a lived reality, have been a guiding light to many, including me. It's through her mentorship that I've learned the true essence of quality - that it's real, tangible, and achievable.
