Elevating Our Talent at Linkedin

Elevating Our Talent at Linkedin

On Monday I start at LinkedIn. I’m thrilled and incredibly humbled to join a mission-driven, member-obsessed organization that is transforming how we are realizing our full potential as unique individuals.

As a recent Chinese immigrant whose parents don't speak a word of English, I’ve spent the last 20 years navigating different cultures on three continents. It was not easy every time I landed in a new company, industry or country. LinkedIn has supported my dreams and aspirations since 2007 through expanding my networks, connecting me with professional groups and providing job opportunities. It has given me an authentic voice to present who I am and what I'm capable of beyond a couple of paper resumes so I could be considered for the right opportunities. It changed my life and my family’s lives.

Across the world, my story is only one of 756 million that are happening every day. For our more than 16,000 teammates that are making this happen, you deserve an equally rewarding experience for your unique talent.

As the VP of Talent Development, I’m charged to envision and implement a compelling, skill-based talent philosophy that will enable each and every one of our teammates to advance and thrive in today’s career jungle gym with continuous learning and development opportunities. I will also be laser focused on developing our leaders and managers in support of our amazing culture and vision. In addition, I’m committed to leveling the playing field regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, age and disability with an inclusive design and delivery of talent systems and processes.

Thank you Teuila Hanson and Ryan Roslansky, James Raybould, Maggie McBennett (she, her), Rosanna Durruthy, Jennifer Shappley, Rebecca White, Richaun Wilson, Iris Cline, Ed McConville, for your exceptional support to help me come on board. I look forward to working with the GTO leadership team to create one of best talent organizations for the future! #nextplay, #linkedinlearning
