Con Edison awards matching funds to support art in the community. That’s what we do! We connect local artists with people in the community. Today, we're asking for your support to help art go further. Every dollar counts. And guess what?
Every dollar gets doubled by Con Edison. $5 becomes $10, $25 becomes $50, $100 turns into $200! Donations are tax-deductible.
- Direct Access: We bring artworks by NYC artists directly to people – in high schools and community events, allowing them to enjoy relevant and meaningful art in the comfort of their homes. Having artwork in the home is a life enrichment everyone should be able to enjoy.
- Inclusivity: The artwork is produced by diverse artists, and relevant to various communities: LatinX, Black, queer, etc.
- Impact: Visual arts are a constant in every culture, proven to help social cohesion, enhance a sense of identity, and even improve children's school education.
- Art at Home: Many people do not visit museums or galleries regularly. Our project brings art directly to them.
- Identity Reinforcement: Having art in the home reinforces a sense of identity.
- Education Impact: Studies show that exposure to art improves children's performance at school.
- Donate: Your support can make this initiative a reality. Every donation contributes to bringing art to more homes. Donations pay for logistics, packaging, transportation, and hanging the work. Donations pay for artists' fees.
- Spread the Word: Share our campaign with your network to increase awareness and support. - Or you can become one of our volunteers, supporting our work in NYC spaces.
- Produce Prints: Transforming original artworks into canvas prints for better durability.
- Brochures: Creating informative brochures about the artists and their stories that are given to the host, along with the artwork.
- Community Engagement: Taking art directly to high schools and community events, presenting the art and the artists to people.
- Art in Homes: Encouraging people to host the artwork in their homes, fostering a deeper connection with the art. Our artists are thrilled that their work is hosted inside NYC homes.
- Documentation: Capturing the impact and experiences shared by individuals and communities helps communicate our impact.
- Sharing Insights: Collaborating with institutions involved in art and community development, such as artist collectives, galleries, and libraries.
