BD Hotels Secures $75M for West Palm Beach Project
From Bisnow: BD Hotels, known for properties like The Greenwich Hotel and The Bowery Hotel in New York, has secured a $75 million construction loan for its first venture outside of NYC—the Nora Hotel in West Palm Beach. The 201-room hotel is set to anchor the up-and-coming Nora District, a new development combining hospitality, retail, and business.
Richard Born, owner of BD Hotels, shared: “The Nora Hotel will offer a level of style and sophistication that is unmatched in the area. We are committed to creating a truly exceptional hospitality experience that will elevate West Palm Beach’s standing as a vibrant, world-class destination.”
The Nora Hotel, expected to break ground later this year and open in 2026, will feature a rooftop pool and a restaurant collaboration with famed NYC-based brasserie Pastis.
UK Hotel Investment Set to Surpass £5 Billion by Year-End
From Premier Construction News: The UK hotel investment market is on track to exceed £5 billion by the end of 2024, representing a remarkable 181% increase over the same period in 2023. This surge has been driven primarily by single-asset transactions in key cities like London and Edinburgh.
Jack Wallsworth of 戴德梁行 Hospitality Capital Markets team commented: “We’re now experiencing a greater bullishness to get deals done, fueled by a greater meeting of minds between buyers and sellers on pricing. The resilience of hotel performance and the ability to price in base rate compression have shifted sentiment toward positive conviction.”

Luxury Hospitality Meets Retail: The New Power Partnership
From Forbes: Luxury fashion brands are deepening their relationships with hospitality, turning hotels into destinations for exclusive, location-based retail experiences. As seen in collaborations like Jacquemeus with 四季酒店 and Valentino with Palazzo Avino , luxury brands are blending lifestyle with hospitality to offer immersive, highly curated guest experiences.
Nobu’s Sushi Club collection, a partnership between Nobu Matsuhisa and streetwear designer Chris Stamp, has led the way in this retail-hospitality crossover. Matsuhisa shared: “I always focus on quality—quality product, quality food, and quality service. That’s why Sushi Club resonates with me; it’s about supporting the next generation and bringing quality experiences to new communities.”
These partnerships reflect a broader trend where luxury hospitality is not just about service, but about creating exclusive experiences that engage guests in unique ways.
