Big Sandy Superstore launched Kitchens Inspired, its luxury and commercial appliance division, in 2016. With over 70 years in the Home Furnishings and Appliance industry and already one of the top 25 largest appliance retailers in the country, Big Sandy Superstore’s expansion into luxury appliances changed the landscape for customers and builders in the Columbus and Dayton, Ohio markets. With its newest location in Cincinnati, the future is looking bright.?

Big Sandy Superstore’s retail stores are known for their selection of top brands, lowest market prices, and convenient locations. Stephen Vanhoose, President of Big Sandy Superstore and former VP of Appliance Sales describes the vision for Kitchens Inspired.

“We wanted to bring some of the mentality that has made us successful in retail to luxury appliances. I’ve always thought the premium segment of our industry was interesting and felt that, with the right people, we could be incredible partners in the space. The first step for us was learning the biggest pain points for potential partners. We consistently heard frustrations regarding delivery and installation and the challenges that created for the builder. Hearing that, we built our business to address those key areas. Residential and multi-family building is hard enough; we want to make sourcing the appliances the easiest part of the process.”

Over the last 8 years Kitchens Inspired has grown exponentially, bringing the same energy and commitment to excellence that has driven their retail success. Over the last years, Kitchens Inspired has received several awards from builder groups, demonstrating that their strategies are working. When asked about where he sees Kitchens Inspired in the future, Stephen says,?

“The sky is the limit. We’re now in three major US markets and will soon be in a fourth. We’ve invested in our logistics, delivery, and installation teams to ensure we continue to provide the service our partners need for their businesses even as we grow. We’ll soon be adding luxury and commercial options for furniture and mattresses, making us a true one stop shop regardless of the customer’s budget.”

Kitchens Inspired, operates 5 locations inside Big Sandy Superstores in Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome.
