Elevated Employee Wellbeing Support Fuels Retention: Are Employers Doing Enough?

According to the Gallagher 2023 Physical and Emotional Wellbeing Report, 90% of employers have increased support for various aspects of employee wellbeing. As the modern workforce comprises multiple generations and diverse backgrounds, employers are recognizing the importance of aligning benefit offerings with a wide range of employee needs. William F. Ziebell, CEO of Gallagher’s Benefits & HR Consulting Division, emphasized that organizations are now prioritizing recruitment and retention, closely addressing issues like flexibility, burnout, and inclusive medical coverage.

The report also highlights crucial trends in employee benefits. Notably, 22% of employers now provide mental health training for managers and HR, while 71% offer clinical care like virtual mental health counseling. This increased focus on employee wellbeing and support can play a pivotal role in talent retention.

As employers read these findings, it begs the question: Are you doing enough to improve employee wellbeing and ensure their continued commitment to your organization?
