Harewood House Trust is the independent educational charity that runs Harewood House. We're also an accredited museum and home to an astounding collection of paintings, furniture and ceramics.

Over the last 250 years, Harewood has changed and evolved with the times, telling the stories of the people who have lived, worked, and made memories here.

The House alone has seen most of those changes. In that time it has been an English gentleman’s country house, a Victorian family home, a Royal Household and a wartime convalescent hospital (twice).

Harewood House Trust was founded in 1986 and has managed and cared for this incredible building and its gardens and grounds ever since.
