H 011 Series as the right shut-off valve for hygiene-sensitive and demanding production environments.

Butterfly valves have proven to be reliable shut-off and control devices for media flow in pipes. Their significance is paramount in industries like paint, chemical and food industry, where specific requirements, such as resistence to aggressive media and tightness, become crucial - even for larger sizes.

In addition to these demands, these valves must undergo rigorous and consistent cleaning through chemicals, water and head (CIP), as well as steam (SIP).

In response to the unique requirements EBRO ARMATUREN developed the H-Series. Available in nominal sizes from DN 50 to DN 250, the series is designed to operate in temperatures from -40 °C to +200 °C. The H-Series extends the product characteristics of the proven PTFE-lined T 200 butterfly valves, which have been specially designed for use in chemically aggressive alkalis and acids.

Modular Design

The modular design of the H 011 offer essential product features tailored to hygiene-sensitive production environments like breweries, dairies, and beverage bottling plants. To meet the stringent requirements all materials exhibit high resistance to substances encountered in CIP cleaning processes. Additionally, they endure SIP cleaning at 150 °C without absorbing any odors, colors, or flavors.

Configurations in accordance with TA-Luft or ATEX are available for special applications. The unit, consisting of the valve and flange connections from the food industry, is meticulously modular.

The flanges ensure precise centring of the valve within the pipeline down to the tenth of a millimeter. Maintaining identical inside diameters between the pipeline and valve prevents protrusions and recesses, allowing liquid media to flow without leaving residue, and minimizing the risk of solids deposition on projections and recesses.

Prioritizing Ease and Effectiveness Cleaning

Central to our design is the emphasis on simple yet thorough cleaning by constructing the body from corrosion-resistant stainless steel (1.4408). Carefully designed outer contours create nearly a virtually gap-free sealing to enable streamlining the cleaning process.

The seamless disc-to-stem connection as well as the one-piece Disc-Stem component of duplex (1.4469) , eliminate potential cavities vulnerable to contamination.

The highly polished, low-adhesion duplex disc does not only promotes the ease of cleaning but it also adds an extra layer of hygiene. Additionally, the FDA and EC 1935 approved PTFE liner is ideally suited for applications in the food and pharmaceutical industry.

These hygiene features collectively minimize the risk of debris within the valve. Such debris could otherwise lead to potential downstream contamination caused by detached debris in the media flow.

The top flange (acc. to ISO 5211) allows direct mounting of all actuator types. EBRO ARMATUREN offers a compact actuator specifically for hygenic applications. Explore the hygiene advantages offered by our design for optimal performance in hygiene-sensitive environments.

Optimized design also extends the service life

Thanks to the hygiene-optimized design, the H 011 butterfly valves have an extended service life. This prolonged durability was confirmed through regular endoscopic examinations at a brewery utilizing these valves in its brewhouse. In a specific instance, the service life of the butterfly valves doubled. EBRO ARMATUREN's butterfly valves demonstrated notable resistance to abrasive hop oils and husks, showcasing their durability in challenging industrial environments.
