Elevate 2025: Empowering Leaders, Amplifying Voices

As we move into 2025, we thank our clients who trusted us with their organizations, their work and home lives, career transitions, strategic planning, and improving their work environments. We know you could choose anyone, and you chose us. Thank you.

It’s that time of year when we reflect on how 2024 went for us as a business, and what we are focused on in 2025. 2024 was a year of transition and change for us. We had some successes, and we also had challenges.

  • We work with Indigenous organizations, and they were front and center in our work this year.
  • Our CEO, Laurie Battaglia is an Executive Coach and worked with three Indigenous Women Leaders (CEO’s and Executive Directors) over the course of 2024. Whether it’s supporting people as they transition to new executive roles, or determining how to focus time and attention, or being a sounding board, Laurie really enjoys this work and is available for more. You don’t have to be an Indigenous organization, but they are a sweet spot for her.
  • We worked with a tribal government to improve their work environment through training and reviewing/rewriting their HR policies for more inclusion and clarity. Completing a 2-year project.
  • We ran a strategic planning process for an Indigenous organization from analysis to plan with assignments and accountability.
  • We worked with a large utility to analyze their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work as measured against a Maturity Model. We provided a path forward for their work now and into the future.
  • We are an approved vendor to the State of Arizona’s DEIBA work and are an approved vendor for Pima Community College for Leadership Development. Call us!
  • We worked with several individual clients on career transitions, from determining what they want to be when they grow up, to resume-writing and LinkedIn profiles, behavior-based interviews and more.
  • Our bench of consultants/facilitators/coaches continued to grow.

On the challenges side, we lost two key people to life/work transitions, and hired two new team members, Fawn Gilmore Kraut who handles Executive Assistance and Social Media, and Heather Nunley who provides project oversight and systems management. We were also challenged mid-year when, for a variety of unrelated reasons, our clients slowed their work and we hadn’t planned on starting new clients. The work later resumed in the fall.

In 2025, we anticipate a powerful year. We will continue our work with Indigenous organizations. Laurie Battaglia will attend the Reservation Economic Summit (RES) in March for the second year in a row and is hoping to expand Aligned at Work’s reach further into Indian Country. We are honored by the trust of Native leaders and value this work.

We anticipate taking on larger contracts and organizations, mostly in companies in male-dominated fields like construction, tech, fintech, edtech, cannabis, and others. We can help bridge the gap in organizational culture between the people in the field, and the people in the office environment through great inclusive leadership practices.

Our CEO, Laurie Battaglia, is scheduled to speak at LeadingAge California’s BOLD conference in May. This is Laurie’s 5th time speaking to this association that unites aging services providers. She hopes to be chosen to speak at the national conference as well, and to expand Aligned at Work’s culture work and Executive Coaching further into the aging services industry.

You’ll continue to see us do monthly LinkedIn Lives to elevate voices in diverse communities and have a mission to improve the world. We’ll publish our monthly Wake Up Call LinkedIn Newsletter – be sure to subscribe to stay informed. You’ll see regular posts on social media, especially LinkedIn, but also on IG and FB as @alignedatwork.

Our Challenge for 2025

We aren’t sure what to expect from the incoming administration in the US when it comes to defining diversity, equity, and inclusion. We do know what we believe, and that is that DEI work is HUMAN WORK. We don’t believe that humans should be manipulated by politics. So if you, too, believe in the HUMANS, please let us know and contact us to work together. We are also concerned about environmental challenges and challenges to Tribal Sovereignty, as well as racial justice and reparations. We’ll keep our eyes open and ears to the ground. Join us if you feel that diversity and great leadership go hand in hand.

OUR TARGET CLIENT:

We’re the experts that forward-thinking companies trust to create workplaces where the HUMANS actually WANT to work.

  • Our sweet spot is with companies who have an eye on the future, have between 100 and 5000 employees, and understand the value of having outside facilitation through their strategy conversations and strategic plan.
  • They may be having growing pains with their leadership pipeline or need support with people transitioning into C-Suite roles. They understand the need for a great culture, but don’t have the data to pinpoint where the issues are. They don’t know how to get there.
  • We help to grow cultures where leaders balance people and profit.
  • Our services include leadership development training and consulting, organizational assessments, leader and team assessments, data gathering, diversity/ equity/ inclusion/ belonging/ accessibility consulting and training, working with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Diversity Councils, building high performing teams without burnout, Executive/ Leadership/ Team/ Group/ Career Coaching. We positively shift cultures.

Let’s make 2025 a great year for you and your team members! Call us at (602)888-0975 or email [email protected].
