Elephant Crossing: Embracing the gift of imperfection as SQE

When you calm down, essential things emerge clearly. Maybe as the year ends and the new one begins, you have thoughts that you would like to share with others?

This is one of mine.

In this introduction, I will talk about ways to be successful at software quality engineering. These include having clear goals, feeling thankful, and using both your gut feelings and your reasoning. I will also talk about the importance of getting along with coworkers and finding ways to have fun and feel connected at work.?

Researcher C.R. Snyder explains to us, that hope is actually a cognitive process that can be both learned and practiced. This is where hope and Quality have everything in common: acting on your thoughts. This process requires careful consideration and a nuanced approach, rather than a simple one-size-fits-all solution.

When you hope to be successful at software quality engineering, it's important to have a clear idea of what you want to achieve and to believe in your own capabilities. It can be helpful to break down larger goals into smaller, more manageable chunks to make progress seem more attainable.

Having an attitude of gratitude, or actively choosing to feel thankful and recognizing that we all have imperfections, is essential for finding happiness in the workplace. This mindset allows us to understand that joy is not solely dependent on external conditions, but rather it is something we can actively cultivate through our software quality approach and actions.

Intuition and reason can work together in software quality engineering. Intuition is when your brain quickly thinks about things you have learned before to make a decision without thinking about it too much. This can be helpful for making fast decisions about software quality. Trusting your intuition means trusting the things you have learned and experienced before.

Improving your relationships with your coworkers can improve your teamwork. Trusting your intuition, being grateful, and using reason can help you make good decisions based on your experiences and knowledge. Doing things that bring joy and create connections with others, like laughter, funky group selfies, singing, and dancing, strengthen your relationships.

Ultimately, you may have a profound realization that gives you hope and helps you feel more empowered and less stressed. This realization can help you clarify your goals and guide you towards taking the necessary steps to achieve them.
