Almost 30 years in residential architecture, and one thing I can surely say clients have a hard time accepting simplicity. My favorite quote "It's so hard to be simple!" There is an inherent elegance in simplicity. Clients sometimes fear they are losing something in simplicity - not seeing the GAINS in the absence of extra stuff. This client got it - Simple, Beautiful, Elegant..........the whole package in simplicity
