Electrically conductive floors from KLB

Many industrial and commercial areas require conductive coatings for personal and explosion protection or when electronic components and assemblies must be protected against static charge. Since we offer products and systems for both ESD and EL+ applications, we would like to briefly show the distinction between these two categories:

?????? = protection of sensitive components, machines or assemblies against electrical discharge and thus from serious damage, e.g. in microchip or semiconductor production.

????+/???? = protection of the work environment and people from explosions caused by static charge due to friction in potentially explosive areas, for example where flammable gases or substances are generated, e.g. in fuel depots or laboratories.

So an ESD requirement can be part of an electrically conductive floor covering when sensitive electronic components are handled, but may not be required in every area with EX protection. ESD and structured: KLB-SYSTEM EPOXID EP 236 (ESD)

Let us present our 2-component epoxy resin roll coating with nubbed structure, which is also available as an electrically conductive version. The textured and non-porous surface, commonly also known as orange peel, enables its use within System A8 for areas with light mechanical stress such as factory, storage or work rooms – but also on vertical surfaces as a wall coating. With an optimally adjusted consistency, the structure can be produced with a structure roller.

The ESD system variant F7 is built up with the additional ???? ?????? ?????????????????????? conductive layer, which can be laid in only 1 - 2 days! This way, requirements for ESD conductivity can be easily combined with an attractive, glossy look of the floor! To the product

For explosion-sensitive areas and clean rooms: KLB-SYSTEM EPOXID EP 202 EL+

The products of the EP 202 and EP 202 Clean groups are solvent-free and low-emission 2-component epoxy resin coatings that can be installed to produce jointless flooring systems, preferably in areas with high requirements for clean and hygienic surfaces. They are tested and comply with the Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold label.

The EP 202 EL+ variant is a good choice in areas where continuous protection of the coating against electrostatic discharging, both for personnel and in EX areas. It is suitable for floors in biotechnology, pharmaceutical or food industries – but also for common rooms in hospitals, where a dissipative covering is needed besides very good cleanability.
