What is the transmission line bundling ?

Bundle conductors consists of several parallel cables connected at intervals by spacers.

But why we use this bundle ?

    when each phase have 4 parallel wires the resistance will be reduced, So the power loss on the transmission lines will also be reduced 

                       Rt = Rw /4

 So the power loss on the transmission lines will also be reduced so we improve power efficiency in our system                

P = I2×R

This explanation, why we use bundles is too simple, may be good for kids but not for engineers.??
