7 个月"some multifamily properties have enticed EV driving prospects with free charging— this is dangerous precedent to set, akin to offering free gas to their residents." Why is this "dangerous?" If you are offering charging to your residents who pay high rent, it is only reasonable to provide low cost charging. At least at the comparable rate of household electricity (about .13 cents per kwh). Installing chargers that charge up to .55 cents per kwh is a complete rip-off for residents and is more expensive than gasoline per mile. If we want to encourage reducing emissions by driving, offering low cost charging is essential.

1 年“Once you add up the costs to install the electrical infrastructure, the charging stations themselves, and the recurring maintenance and software costs, EV Chargers become one of the most expensive amenities a property can offer.” How about no cost installation, maintenance & software?
