Electric Power in a small package
The most compact model in the Faresin telehandler range with a 2.6t lifting capacity and a maximum height reach of 5.8m, is now available in full electric version with up to 10 hours of battery life.
In response to the growing demand of sustainability in the construction sector, Faresin has introduced the first fully electric telescopic handler in the world. Based on its corresponding 6.26 model with an endothermic engine, this model produces zero emissions and has reduced noise levels. So, the full electric telehandler can be used in closed environments or where noise and emission are not welcome such as the city centre, warehouses, logistics areas and greenhouses.
Sustainability is a theme that Faresin have always dealt with, long before the term was coined or became popular. Therefore, on industrial level the development of the project has been an almost natural evolution. Electrification technology is, in fact, entirely made in Faresin, as a result of an integrated customer-centric process involving R&D, Production, Sales and Marketing.
The Faresin 6.26 fully electric telehandler has the same dimensions as the diesel twin. The compact dimensions and the turn ratio are designed to optimise manoeuvrability in restricted operating space.?
This telehandler produces no exhaust emission and it’s also very quiet: only 64 dBA noise level outside the cab. The absence of emissions and noise allows a wider range of applications.
Faresin has equipped its fully electric telehandler with two synchronous electric motors powered by lithium batteries. The battery life is enough for a heavy working day. Performance remains constant until the battery charge reaches 5%; then functions will automatically slow down, in order to warn the operator, who can than move to the nearest charging point. Faresin offers also a new fastest charge tool that fully recharges the battery overnight.
The transmission is electric, single-speed, with speeds from 0 to 15km/hour. The 4-wheel drive is permanent with an electric motor 30kW on the front axle and transmission by shaft to the rear axle. The hydraulic system consists of a gear pump with a flow rate of 80l/min at 230bar, driven by the second by the second electric motor (18kW), for moving the boom. Three steering modes, selectable by the operator, are included: front wheels only (for transfers); four concentric wheels, to reduce the steering radius in usual working conditions; crab steering, all four wheels turn in the same direction, to make a lateral movement, in precision handling.
The telescopic boom is articulated in two sections and, when it’s in the lowered position, the boom provides a good lateral field of vision. The operator can see all four wheels from the driver’s seat. The cabin, mounted on silent-blocks, is generously sized and with easy accessibility. Its structure meets the standards Rops (Roll over protective structure), ISO 3471 and Fops (Falling objects protective structure) ISO 3449.?
The dashboard has Faresin’s usual wrap-around shape, in front of the steering wheel with a side console along the right-hand side of the cab. There is a display where general details and battery life can be checked. The side console the dial with the starting key, the safety stop button and the selector for the steering modes, as well as the boom control joystick.?In a rear most position, next to the operator is the control panel for selecting the eco or power?mode selection, parking brake and boom flotation.
Ever since the presentation at Eima International 2018, Faresin’s fully electric telehandler has ramped up production and is breaking its production records in spite of Covid-19 lockdowns. The company has now added a further production line to increase the capacity.

Product questions
1.???What are your latest low/zero emission products?
The Faresin 6.26 Full Electric is the world's first electric telehandler. Presented at Eima International in 2018, it is now available in an updated version with a 560Ah battery that offers more than 10 hours of battery life in job-site application: more than a full day's work. Thanks to the Superfast Charger, the battery can be charged in just about two hours.
2.???What are their main technical features, in terms of being environmentally friendly and/or their suitability to worksites that demand low emissions from equipment?
This machine produces zero emissions and is also very silent. Thanks to these features, it can work even indoors, such as logistics centers and greenhouses, or in low-emission construction sites, such as those in city centers, where also noise emissions need to be limited.
3.???What relevant products are you planning for the future, and what will their main characteristics ?
For the future, we are thinking about a whole new “Full Electric products range” that will expand the current range offered, with particular attention to the construction sector. You'll see news soon!
