May 22 —?State officials say that?20% of registered voters cast ballots in yesterday's election. Most incumbents won, but a handful of key races are headed to a June 18 runoff. We've got the results below.

2. Dunwoody Facebook page creates community
?? In 2018, Dunwoody North resident and realtor Matt Weber started a Facebook group with the intent of connecting people in Dunwoody who needed services.?
Today,?Dunwoody Area Community Forum?has 13,000 followers who weigh in on everyday subjects:?lost-and-found pets, the appearance of the?inflatable dinosaurs?that coined the phrase “Dinowoody,”?celebrations big and small, and even stray bear sightings. ?
It also contains serious posts that weigh on the residents of the city: the loss of teenagers to the fentanyl epidemic, traffic fatalities, information about?Dunwoody police and city government officials, parks bonds, and other issues that affect the lives of many.?
3. Eight restaurants opening around Atlanta this summer to get excited about
?? Rough Draft continues to track the progress of some of this year’s hotly anticipated new restaurants and bars.?
We’ve already seen some big restaurant openings in 2024, including Mexican restaurant Casa Balam in Decatur from the owners of Oaxaca, the return of The Porter Beer Bar in Little Five Points, and Chef Kevin Gillespie’s Nadair, which opens May 24 in the former Floataway Cafe space.?
Since our last update dropped in February, Damsel, Painted Pickle, and Floridaman have opened, and the openings of Gene’s in East Lake and Pure Quill Superette in Edgewood appear imminent. But what about what's coming down the pipeline this summer?
