Elderly Ruralite Men And Women

Another gray, drizzly and slightly windy day came and went, which had me out running errands, along with resuming my focus on getting my office filing system organized since we've had a number or changes with the forms we now have to use after the settlement of that nationwide class-action law suit, so slowly but surely, I'm getting fully up to speed with it all.

Part of my morning was spent performing another paying it forward for a family I've done business with for a very many years, and since I had pretty much the morning free, I figured it just a small gesture of thankfulness. Once I had everything up to my standards, a few photos were taken of the results and then forwarded on to the person in need. It didn't surprise me when receiving an almost instant texting-back of sincere gratitude. We must remind ourselves that money can't buy a real honest to goodness 'Thanks!'

I'm pretty much fully prepared for a closing coming up the end of this week, and after visiting with the seller this morning, it sounds like he's going to proceed with legal action against the previous owner who purposely went out and created a lien on the home shortly before we closed on it, which put me in a tail-spin when I found out about it several weeks ago. Fortunately I was able to get every piece of evidence he'll need which clearly shows there was a great wrong committed. It was one more example of how some devious minds will go to just about any lengths to get free money. Shame on all of them!

After reviewing a few of the news feeds today, I had to laugh to myself when reading where a very 'in the know' person in government came out and said 'D.T's' government appointments have thus far shown how little he cares about loyalty and instead, he's only wanting those who exhibit fealty for him and his crusade. Once they've all be picked, I'm sure Washington D.C. will be considered the minion capital of our entire United States. I used to think our city government was filled with minions, but he'll have us beat by a country mile. I still can't believe he's appointing people with little or no experience in the positions he's doling out. There's no doubt it'll end up being a 'shite-show'.

Another internal smile was created when reading where 'X' which used to be Twitter is losing subscribers by the thousands since Elon 'Muskrat' decided to cozy up to 'D.T.', who in turn, have signed-up with 'Bluesky', which from what I later read, is geared more for those who really have something to talk about instead of the mindless drivel that goes on with 'X' and Facebook. I'm likely going to subscribe to it, just to see how it goes, and just maybe, it'll help to lift my office's web presence.

I had a long conversation with a colleague who spends six months out of the year in a foreign country, and has been doing it for a good six or seven years, and dearly loves it. The more he talked about the area in which he lives which offers fresh food, ever-friendly people, and above all, paradise-like weather, I was beginning to see it all in my mind. He actually personally invited me to come and visit him and his wife while they're there. Now that was quite an invitation one would be hard-pressed to pass up.

My office hours were extended due to an unexpected drop-in who's been an acquaintance of mine for a number of years, and since I'd done some real estate work for him in the past, I invited him in for a long-overdue chat.

Oh my goodness! That extended conversation revolved around 'D.T's' election win, his character, his 'Christian' leanings, his accomplishments while in office the last time, and above all, how hard he worked to build up a real estate empire from the ground up. So by the time he'd finished and bid his farewell, I was once again convinced the reason 'D.T.' won, was because of all these elderly ruralite men and women who're in their 70', 80's and above, watching that stupid Fox News, and believing everything they'd seen and heard. Yes, all the many of our elderly spend far too much time watching that garbage, but unfortunately for them, they've got expiration dates on their horizons, and will be leaving this world in worse shape, and all because they'd allowed themselves to be propagandized by our medias.

Tonight's One-liner is: Anyone who conducts an argument by appealing to authority, is not using his intelligence, but simply using his memory.
