Care, and the infrastructure that supports it collectively, is the key to our ability to weather the storms ahead. In good times and in hard times, care is the glue that holds us together.?

El Ni?o is here and that means we’re bracing for another long, hot summer.? I’m writing this from the NSW South Coast, where fires are already burning and we’re experiencing surreal back-to-back fire and flood warnings – strange and scary times indeed.

The world we build next matters.??

Our new research shows that one of the best ways we can collectively prepare for climate disasters is to build the kind of communities that are truly great places to live all year round. Want to know how???

In partnership with Women's Health Goulburn North East (WHGNE) , we’re thrilled to share with you our latest work: Care through Disaster: A new lens on what’s needed to thrive and survive in tumultuous times.?

We’ll be hosting an online launch discussion on Thursday 9th November 12:30 AEDT, all welcome.

Through the hours of qualitative research and analysis, we’ve distilled the top three things people need to be cared for through disaster. Now we’re offering these lessons and insights for decision makers, disaster response organisations, campaigners and interested community members – to learn about the solutions to advocate for and steps we can take to set ourselves up to survive and thrive through tumultuous times.?
