EIY: Experience it yourself

The day COVID 19 was declared pandemic, the day people were pushed inside boundaries, the day when distance became the new reverence, the day when screen supremacy begun and finally the day when classrooms became virtual: the biggest defy which was for the experiential learning, the Do it yourself (DIY) was doused and the bliss of exploration was curtailed to almost null.

We thought on the ways and means on how the excitement of exploration, the zeal of learning beyond the books can be relived upon and the right answer to the doused doctrine of DIY be built. Hence we did meticulous home work and colleagues went out to the industry to bring the processes, procedures and practices to the e-classrooms.

Even in those critical times faculty weren't reticent and afraid of going out to sheds and the shop floor to capture the videos. The experts enthusiastically built the resources by post editing the videos and the voice overs and finally we crafted the answer to the almost killed joy of experiential learning and came up with Experience it Yourself (EIY) framework. Even the acronym was unheard then.

Today we happily share that EIY has been accorded the copyright and with the efforts of all is being implemented so very well that the Freshmen 2020 are ecstatic to experience the industry themselves.
