EIPA closes Designed Giftionery Applications for 2025

Mbabane, 12 February 2025 – The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA), has closed applications for Traders to take part and exhibit their products at the Designed Giftionery 2025 Expo in Taipei, Taiwan. The Expo is set to take place from 17 to 20 April 2025.

Thandeka Dlamini, Manager – External Trade Promotion at EIPA comments: “We would like to thank the businesses which showed an interest in going to the Designed Giftionery Expo in Taiwan in April. We will be notifying the successful candidates in due course and assisting them with getting their goods and representatives ready for the Expo in Taiwan. We would also like to thank TAITRA for their ongoing support in Eswatini’s participation in Taiwanese trade shows, the logistical support they offer goes a long way in helping the benefitting businesses with both establishing and expanding their export capabilities.”

Designed Giftionery is one of Taiwan’s biggest creative expo’s showcasing products from all around the world. The event brings together the best innovations in giftware, stationery, home decor, consumer goods, and packaging design. This year, as in previous years, Eswatini will have a designated space for locally crafted products where businesses are able to exhibit their creations in accordance with the event categories. By going to Taiwan, these homegrown businesses will get the opportunity to connect with buyers from different countries and tap into the Asian market, all while showcasing the products that Eswatini is able to produce.

Dlamini concludes, “We would also like to remind the nation that we will be sending out a call for applications for the Taipei International Food Show which takes place from 25-28 June 2025. This Expo is primarily aimed at the Food and Beverage Industry and is designed for existing brands with products that are export ready. We encourage interested candidates to look out for more information on our social media pages and to be innovative in terms of the product selection they put forward in their applications.”
