Einstein, impossible, and seeing what's on the other side...
Bryce Main
Multi-genre author, mostly Crime fiction. Scottish. Been writing longer than I’ve been wearing big boy’s trousers.
There are two kinds of people in the world.
The first kind think that impossible is a ten-letter word.
They think that Einstein was wrong and imagination can only take us so far.
They never say ‘can do’ when they can say ‘no can do’.
And they never climb to the top of the nearest hill, just to see what’s on the other side.
They lie on their backs and never think they can sit.
They sit and never know they can crawl.
They crawl and never realise they can walk.
They walk and never believe they can run.
They run and never dream they can fly.
They can see what’s going...but they can’t for the life of them see what’s coming up.
The first kind have all the potential to be the last of their kind.
Unlike the second kind.

The ones who think different.
The ones who believe that impossible would be happier as an eight-letter word. Shorter by a fifth and better by a million miles.
They’re the ones who can look at life from an unfamiliar angle, imagine all the possibilities, and offer up a rare perspective.
They zig when others zag. Step forward when others step back. Seek when others hide. Push when others pull. Give a damn when others don’t.
They’re the ones who move their bodies to the rhythm of the hairy mambo, when everyone else is looking on from the edge of the dance floor.
They’re the ones who believe that technology may be in the driving seat...but magic still happens when they turn over the engine.
And they’re the ones who lace up their boots, step outside, breathe in deep, and climb to the top of the nearest hill.
Just to see what’s on the other side...
