Eight questions to ask your recruiter BEFORE you engage them
1. Do they specialize in your industry?
2. Have they recently filled positions similar to the current opening /need you have?
3. What is the expected turn around time to start sending resumes?
4. Explain their process for finding and “interviewing” candidates
5. What is their fee? Can I save money if I pay some upfront?
6. If it’s temp to hire, what is the conversion fee/how does it work?
7. How long is their guarantee period?
8. Will you be working with the same recruiter/person during the entire process?
If you don’t like the answers, negotiate to the point you are happy OR call another recruiter.
