Repsol greenlights renewable methanol facility in Spain
Repsol is ready to to build Ecoplanta, a waste-to-methanol plant in Tarragona, Spain. The project is calculated to require a total investment of US$818m, becoming Europe's first facility to produce methanol from waste through gasification.
Nigeria breaks ground on five mini-LNG facilities
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has held a ceremony for the announcement of five mini-liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities in the country. To be built in the state of Kogi, these projects are intended to provide a cleaner and cheaper source of energy to the region, which suffers from a lack of access to gas pipeline infrastructure.
Lightsource bp concludes solar power projects in Texas
Lightsource bp has commissioned two solar power?projects in Texas, United States. Combined, these new power plants add approximately 288MW of generation capacity to its portfolio in the state, which now surpasses 1GW.
