EI really fuels business growth

The rapid spread of Emotional Intelligence

Emotional Intelligence has lately been making waves across the globe. Many have recognized its ability to be useful in many domains. The acceptance faces a challenge in some domains though. One is that of the hard-nosed business persons. They ask whether Emotional Intelligence fuels business growth. Whether they will stand to gain in financial terms. The answer is a resounding yes.


Emotional Intelligence helps greatly in building a business mindset

For any business person, success begins with self. That is where emotional intelligence scores in developing ourselves. We always need to open a business conversation being fully aware of the emotions within us. Making promises when we are overjoyed and making decisions when we are very angry are counter intuitive. We need to be stable and cool when we do this. Confidence is contagious. When we have abundant self confidence, we create this in those we want to do business with as well and they become more receptive to us.


When we rule our emotions, we rule over the hearts of people

People take easily to people who can keep their cool. Also, what everybody very keenly looks forward to is people who are trustworthy. They then do not have to watch their back and can focus on positive and creative things. And when they deal with people who are conscientious, they know that their interests are being well looked after. More than the official contract of business, it is a lot of these unsaid and yet implicit understandings that have a great impact on how business deals go. And of course, the adaptability to change as well as to innovate makes things flexible and dynamic.


Positive energies matter a lot

Our passion to excel, our urge to make a difference are factors that powerfully propel us forward in business. This helps us move forward powerfully. All activity can only be sustained through morale and motivation

Awareness and empathy play a significant role

Service orientation is a prime component of business. This is what everyone who hires a service actively desires and highly values. The service we provide makes a difference and matters very much when buying decisions are made. Awareness also gives us a perspective on who the influencers of our prospect are, and this also helps us in giving a good direction to our efforts


Relationship management

Ultimately, relationships have an impact on every aspect of our life. Not only do we like people who are like us, we also like people who like us. When we build good relationships with people, their inclination to do business with us substantially increases. Do we not all want to do business with people that we feel comfortable with? There is more trust and less of caution and protocol when we are able to do this. The “I” and “you” between us and them and creates “We”. This is ultimately what we want. We want to create synergy and build a fruitful business relationship that is sustainable,

Very true. Easier to work with people who have better emotional intelligence. Sales people need to understand this and more importantly, internalise it.

I always believed that “selling is transfer of emotion “. In current scenario of uncertainty which is likely to be prolonged , “sales teams “ will play biggest ever role of generating growth and cash that is sustainable and profitable.Building Trust will be Core .
