Helene is Mrs. District of Columbia 2017. She is currently studying toward her Juris Doctor at Washington College of Law American University. She just completed an internship at the Department of Justice and sits as executive editor of the Modern American Brief. She looks forward to her graduation in 2018. Helene, although a long time Washingtonian, is originally from France, she is licensed to practice law in France and married to her husband Kris for 15 years and have a son Kyle. During her reign as Mrs. DC, Helene will dedicate her year to advocate for equal access to justice. She previously volunteered in her school’s clinical program to help low income and underprivileged communities to obtain legal assistance and access to the justice system. She plans on continuing her mission as an advocate while also preparing for the title of Mrs. International in August 2017 in West Virginia.
