EH Feel Good COVID 19 Story

As many of you know, Colin and I, love to travel this country we call Canada. In doing so we stay in vacation homes for the winter in different parts of Canada for research, consulting, public speaking and building our programs.

This year, with COVID-19, it has been a vastly different experience. There is much to think about as we self isolate, news is changing constantly, tourism is struggling, then there are the covidiots. Now, we are starting to see a small smattering of feel good stories come to the surface. We have one too.

We received this email today, in the midst of self-isolation during the COVID 19 crisis. We were so touched by the email, we asked them if we could share. Enjoy... and remember... be nice to each other.

" I’m trying to post this somewhere out there where everyone can see it. It’s about the “Fabro’s”. That is what I call the Fabulous Brothers that make up the team of “Eh Canada Travel.com”.

These two guys are not just fabulous brothers, .....they are fabulous human beings. We need more of them in our world. Their work is their passion, and they are passionate about our Country. Everything they do, is for the greater good of Canada.

We had the pleasure of sharing our home with them this past winter while they worked in Merritt and the surrounding area. This was our first winter season to be “Snowbirds” and head south for 6 months. And we were nervous about leaving our house sit empty, but more afraid of renting it out to “who knows who” ???

But one day last year I decided to search for “people looking for temporary accommodations in Kamloops”, and Voila!......this led me to 2 brothers and ehCanadaTravel.com.

From the first email correspondence, to the video chat, to the “meet in person”, all the way up to Move In Day, this was a true blessing. These 2 guys are amazing. Professional, friendly, funny, responsible, and very very caring. Genuine care, just not for our home, but for us. I can’t call them “tenants”. They watched over our home as though it was their own.

They took great care as much outdoors, as they did indoors. They raked and bagged leaves (again and again). As fast as they could bag them, more were dropping, until they had a huge heap of leaves all bagged.

And they took great care indoors as well. We returned this spring, unfortunately earlier than planned, due to the Covid 19 virus. We were prepared to stay in our holiday trailer, as we were not at the end of the rental agreement yet. But these guys wouldn’t have it.

They were not comfortable knowing that we were in a trailer, while they were in our house. So they made extreme measures to move out quickly, so that we could move back into our home. And even on very short notice, the home was spotless, and perfect. It had the scent of disinfectant as they wiped down “everything” to ensure it was safe for our arrival.

As I said, they are beyond “tenants”. They are two wonderful people that think more of the needs of others before themselves. We are blessed to know them, and I want Canada to know how great they are. Colin and Greg Girard, thank you for all you do for tourism in Canada, and I pray with all my heart that you, your company, and our country will be OK after this difficult time.
