The development of our emotional intelligence enables us to distance our self from our ego.?We become the observer of our ego.?The willingness to do the emotional labor this requires will have an amazingly positive impact on our behavior and results.?For the past 500 million years mankind’s actions have, and continue to be driven primarily by ego.?Ego creates and feeds off drama, chaos, and conflict.?This leads to toxic work and living environments.

Learning to lower our walls of resistance, judgment and attachment to outcome will enable us to obtain a higher level of consciousness.?We cannot achieve results beyond our current level of consciousness.?If we want better results, we need to become more conscious.?Developing our emotional intelligence is the path to greater awareness and success.

“Kept my walls down”

Immigration line at the airport was 4+ hours and currently there’s a strike in the Immigration department. Over 150 people in line, and half of the officers were eating snacks to prove their point. One grumpy officer between me and being turned away. He was stiff and unfriendly when I walked up. I kept my walls down. He almost IMMEDIATELY lowered his! Like maybe 10-30 seconds! I got through, but missed the remaining flights. Kept my walls down as I approached the check in desk. This after they’d dealt with tons of upset passengers. Guess what? They bent over backwards to help me while I kept my walls down. Even the very grumpy supervisor came over to join in the conversation to help me. You have unlocked a SUPER POWER sir.?
