The Egg Shoot Day 2 - 28/02/24
Day 2 of filming was a hectic and exciting shoot, in which we set out to get our opening one shot and capture some interesting b-roll utilising the bridge near our filming location.
It was an early start, I set off at 7am to pick up one of our actors from the station, as well as two other crew members - however, the rest of the crew had a bus journey ahead of them, but this quickly became an issue as the signs at the station said different to the app we had checked with.
We promptly arrived at the location around 8am and were in constant communication with the rest of the crew on their whereabouts - a 30 minute walk away.
However, once we all reunited and got set up, the day was looking promising!
We welcomed the rest of our cast at 8:45am and had food/water and umbrellas at the ready, as the weather was looking questionable.
We began blocking the first scene to make sure it flowed smoothly as it involves various characters passing one another which was a challenging task, but after direction and camera testing we began to shoot promptly at 9:30am.

As usual, my role was to communicate with actors, keep track of time/weather and keep an eye on catering to ensure spirits were high even in the gloomy-looking weather.
It took us a few takes but we managed to nail it in the end and got exactly what we imagined when in the pre-production stage.
After being happy with the one shot we achieved, we moved swiftly onto getting some extra shots of our actress on the bridge to add an extra element to the film and hopefully not make the start feel so abrupt.
As a whole, I am really pleased with how the project is shaping up and can't wait to get stuck in filming next week with both our main two characters.
