Efficiency... Not Volume
Working with ad agencies & entertainment companies for the past decade, I've found that most of them have one thing in common. They've hired too many people. As a result, I've witnessed over communication, task redundancy, and over processes.
Some of the most successful projects I've worked on have less people working on them, not more. Companies feel they're increasing communication & efficiency by having lots of meetings with lots of people. The problem is that over communication doesn't typically result in efficiency or profitability. It causes clutter, redundancies, and prolongs progress.
Less process + Less extraneous employees = Higher profitability and stronger efficiency.
