Effectiveness of UV-C light in the fight against Novel Coronavirus

With the advent of Coronavirus ,organizations have started searching for solutions to sanitize their offices and protect their employees from the virus.

And the Facilities Teams are facing various challenges like to revise their SOP's for cleaning frequencies and methods, new solutions that can be implemented for the same. 

Much attention of late has turned to the power of ultraviolet light to inactivate the novel coronavirus. UV light disinfection system now has been around for a while and have been used in the disinfection of Restrooms, Automobiles, Cabins etc.

And now UV-C light in the 260 -- 285 nm range based-solutions have become the top selling technology for disinfection. 

SSLEEC member company in early April reported a "99.9% sterilization of coronavirus (COVID-19) with UV-C.

One more company called Biozone Scientific International has been in the news with its UV technology based products. It has products for the restrooms and office spaces that can disinfect the air , it also has test reports from independent labs which was done for SARS - COV2 virus which is of the same family of COVID-19 Coronavirus and it destroyed the virus in 0.44 seconds.

It has been quite successful in India and the worldwide markets and has seen a huge number of orders spike in India and worldwide with this pandemic.
