'Effective networking' & 'building strong business relationships' - both require Active Listening.

Learning from a nice article written by Dr. Ivan Misner

The person you are in meeting with, is the most important activity or priority.

- Skip Multi-Tasking.

- Keep your Focus.

- Give Undivided Attention.

- Practice Active Listening.

- Remain fully engaged.

- Take notes.

Be an active participant in the entire process to get any substantive results.

Remember, networking meetings and phones don’t mix!

Dr. Ivan Misner recommends;

Check your phone one last time before meeting, completely turn off?and don’t turn it back on until?you leave the meeting.

Very true and relevant,In today's day and age when we have the constant urge to check message and updates across messaging and social media channels what really helps is to just unplug and have a good engaging conversation
