Before we get into AI, in case you are not familiar with Dreamforce, this is the annual get-together of the Salesforce ecosystem, held in San Francisco.
40K IN PERSON ATTENDEES AT DREAMFORCE
Aside from the in person attendees, millions more watched the 1,500 + sessions online, looping-in over 100 of the world's leading AI experts and visionaries.
4 WAVES OF ENTERPRISE AI
Setting the scene, CEO Marc Benioff presents the history of Salesforce AI in terms of 4 waves: 1. 'Predictive', 2. 'Generative' (current wave) and coming soon, 3. 'Autonomous & Agents', eventually followed by 4. 'Artificial General Intelligence'.
75% OF COMPANIES ARE LIKELY TO ADOPT AI BY 2027
The Dreamforce keynote was full of great data points, and this was one of them. Key message: the AI opportunity is huge and about to change everything.

The impact on team productivity will be enormous.

Customers are set to feel the benefit too, as they experience better service interactions, driven by AI.

Increased productivity, plus improved customer delivery is a recipe for success, reflected in the predictions for revenue growth.
However, it's not all upside. Let’s take a look at another stat from the Dreamforce keynote..
52% OF CONSUMERS DON'T BELIEVE AI IS SAFE AND SECURE
First problem: trust. There is work to be done to convince organizations to trust AI with their data. AI hallucinations, bias and toxicity are all cause for concern.
71% OF COMPANY APPLICATIONS ARE DISCONNECTED
Second problem: customer data is highly fragmented. On average, organizations use 1,061 different applications, yet only 29% of them are integrated. As enterprise data stacks have grown more complex, this has generated massive, siloed islands of customer data, presenting a real barrier to success when for AI data models.

What does Einstein 1 mean for Sales, Service, and Marketing?
29% INCREASE IN SALES PRODUCTIVITY
Sales GPT is now GA (Generally Available), with Einstein Copilot for Sales scheduled for launch in Feb '24 and Automated Prospecting in June '24.
31% FASTER RESOLUTION ON SERVICE CASES
Salesforce will roll out Service GPT functionality over the coming two quarters. Get ready for Search Answers in Oct '23, Service Intelligence in Nov '23, followed by Unified Messaging, Einstein Copilot, and Field Service Revenue Generation in Feb '24.
27% INCREASE IN CUSTOMER LIFETIME VALUE
Marketing teams will be able to access Segment Intelligence for Data Cloud from Oct '23. Marketing Cloud Account Engagement users will be able to access Einstein via this product from Feb '24.
