Managing Director, New Sales

The Role

The Managing Director of New Sales is responsible for leading the business development team in its strategy and execution. As Managing Director, you will be responsible for a team of Sales Partners that are having daily conversations with district leaders helping them to solve the myriad of challenges they face.

Responsibilities

  • Guide new sales partners in their outreach to prospective districts
  • Manage sales partners’ pipelines to ensure appropriate volume and progression of opportunities to meet goals
  • Lead territory management strategy to identify and recruit high-potential districts
  • Liaise with leadership, the delivery team, and operations to inform strategy
  • Attract and recruit high-performing sales partners
  • Regularly review commercial performance to identify opportunities for improvement and ability to coach and improve commercial execution
  • Meet quarterly and annual revenue targets by managing the full-cycle sales pipeline
  • Help to develop effective proposals to increase conversion rate
  • Provide commercial perspective on new product development and market opportunities
  • Stay apprised of market dynamics and the competitive landscape


Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a consultative sales management role
  • Experience managing a high-growth sales team to meet quarterly and annual targets
  • Experience selling a service or consulting service
  • Exceptional communication (oral, written) and persuasion skills
  • Demonstrated track record of growing, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • Deep understanding of the K12 market, including potential buyers
  • Ability to drive urgency and decisions with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
  • High-energy, self-motivated, agile leader with the ability to think spontaneously and respond quickly
