Eferio now invites private investors to join us on our journey to become a leading investor within digital infrastructure and mobile networks across the African continent. – We ask interested parties to contact us at [email protected].

Background

Africa's economy has witnessed remarkable growth in recent years, driven in part by the increasing adoption of digital technologies. The World Bank reports that Africa's GDP grew by 3.4% in 2021 and is projected to reach 4.1% in 2022. The digital economy is also on the rise, with estimates indicating that it could contribute up to $300 billion to Africa's GDP by 2025.

Access to technology and digital services is crucial for driving this growth, enabling individuals to access information, education, government services, and digital financial tools. Currently, only 28% of Africans have internet access, but this figure is projected to rise to 39% by 2025. Similarly, while only 6% of Africans currently have access to digital financial services, this is expected to reach 34% by 2025.

Recognizing this opportunity, Eferio has invested in Africa since 2017 through our operational setup in Nairobi, led by our founder and CEO, Richard Murbeck. Our focus has been on investing in technologies and business models that foster a digital civic society and make a meaningful impact in Africa.

Eferio today

Eferio is an investment firm backed by a diverse group of 30 investors from 8 countries across 3 continents. Over the past 6-7 years, our investors have supported our business and market development activities.

We focus exclusively on the African continent. Since 2017, we have been actively engaged in Kenya, initially adopting a Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE) business model. However, in recent years we have made significant changes to our business model, and we now focus on:

? Digitalization of Sub-Saharan Africa, encompassing mobile network infrastructure and operations, as well as digital ID infrastructure and services.

? Enabling technologies, primarily in the domains of mobile connectivity and fintech.

At present, we are at a crucial turning point with a significant funding round recently closed. We aim to leverage the immense opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa, and we are well-positioned to launch our business with a financially attractive vision supported by a robust strategic and operational plan.

Offer to new investors

Our goal is to bridge the digital divide in Africa and become a leading investor within digital infrastructure and mobile networks across the continent. We invite new private investors to join us on this journey as we transition into full-scale operations during Q3 2023. This will be our final private investor round before embarking on the next phase.

As an initial step, Eferio has already raised USD 10 million to be invested in 4-5 projects over the next 12 months. In the subsequent phase, within 24 months, we intend to raise a much larger investment fund in collaboration with our strategic financial partners. Our objective is to secure USD 300 million and ultimately to proceed with an IPO within 36 months. This strategic roadmap presents a high-impact business venture that offers significant profit potential for all our investors.

By joining Eferio now at the time of our full-scale launch, investors will benefit from our years of business development. Investors will not only contribute to Africa's digital transformation but also seize the opportunity to capitalize on the continent's growing economic significance. Together, we can shape Africa into a global powerhouse in the digital age.
