EETC’s MEEP ESP: 12 Years of Reliable Flue Gas Treatment for Jianbang Group
Background
Founded in 1988, Jianbang Group is a leading player in the steel industry, recognized as a National Green Factory. With ambitious sustainability goals, the group sought a reliable solution to tackle flue gas emissions from its sintering process. In 2011, EETC was entrusted as the EPC contractor to implement a customized MEEP system, addressing the challenges posed by high dust loads and operational demands.
Challenge
Jianbang Group faced significant challenges in its sintering process, including high dust loads and the need to comply with stringent emission standards. Ensuring low emissions and operational efficiency was a top priority, requiring a solution that could handle the demanding operational conditions while maintaining compliance.
Solution
EETC’s Moving Electrode Electrostatic Precipitator (MEEP) was chosen to address these challenges. The system was commissioned in 2012 under an EPC contract, specifically designed to tackle the high dust loads and operational demands of Jianbang Group’s 360m2 sintering machine flue gas treatment project. The MEEP technology integrates cutting-edge features to deliver high dust removal efficiency:
- Enhanced Durability: Minimizing wear on downstream equipment.
- Optimized Maintenance: Reducing overall operational costs.
?
The project was completed in 2012, achieving first-time commissioning success. From the start, the MEEP system exceeded expectations, ensuring stable and efficient operation while maintaining emission targets.
Benefit
Over the past 12 years, the MEEP system has provided Jianbang Group with significant benefits. In a recent visit, EETC’s after-sales team confirmed the system’s continued excellence. Jianbang Group’s Chief Commander, Mr. Wu, highlighted the economic benefits:
Thanks to EETC’s MEEP ESP, harmful dust levels have been significantly reduced. Traditionally, sintering fan rotors needed replacement every 2-3 years due to dust accumulation. However, with the MEEP system in place, the need for rotor replacement was delayed until 2019, when the sintering machine underwent an upgrade. This 7-year delay resulted in savings of over 10 million RMB in equipment costs."
The MEEP system not only ensures compliance with emission standards but also contributes to:
- Sustainability:?By reducing dust and particulate matter emissions.
- Cost Efficiency:?Extending the lifespan of critical equipment and reducing maintenance frequency.
Conclusion
The success of Jianbang Group’s MEEP project is a testament to EETC’s expertise in delivering high-performance ESP solutions. With over 30 years of experience and more than 50 successful ESP projects, EETC is a trusted partner for industries like steel, cement, and power generation.
