Dear EESPN-Member,
In this issue, we highlight our upcoming BBinar on labour migration in the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership countries, and present a review of our peer review dedicated to addressing the challenge of undeclared work in the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership countries.?Furthermore, we share updates on recent calls and publications from across the region. Enjoy reading the EESPN newsletter!
Highlights
The ninth BBinar will focus on discussing how high emigration rates from the Western Balkans, particularly among young and skilled workers, combined with other unfavourable demographic trends, have transformed a region once characterised by an abundance of available workforce into one facing significant labour shortages.
From 5-6 December 2024,?the Ministry of Finance, Labour, and Transfers of the Republic of Kosovo hosted an insightful peer review dedicated to addressing the challenge of undeclared work in the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership. Peers from Albania, Armenia, and Moldova—representing Ministries, Labour Inspectorates, and Tax Administrations—came together to exchange ideas and best practices.
