EduGenie.net Review (2024): Is EduGenie Legit?

Hey there, I am Tom, an essay writer, and tutor at Killer Papers. We’re a Canadian essay writing and tutoring service with 100% USA college-graduate writers. Recently, the big boss of our essay writing service (you can call him KP) asked me to check out EduGenie.net after some of our customers saw ads popping up on Google and asked us about these guys. “I can’t afford to pay a lot for a paper, and these guys are cheap,” they tell us.

I kept wondering, “Is EduGenie.net legit?” and that led to me writing this EduGenie review. So, I checked them out, and let’s say that when something sounds too good to be true, you can assume it probably is!

What you’ll get with EduGenie.net is a project full of strangely phrased paragraphs, poor grammar and syntax, and a paper obviously written by a foreign writer.

TL/DR: If you’re in a hurry, I’ll save you some time. After you read this review, you’ll see the difference between a quality site like Killer Papers and a junk site that hides its writers and has no social media and no “About Us” like EduGenie.net. Killer Papers is the absolute best in the business.

Ordering a Paper at EduGenie.net

To check out EduGenie.net, I went to their website and punched in some basic criteria to start the order process. In typical fashion (for a foreign essay writing service), the order form was too basic and had many (almost always unnecessary) add-on features. However, it was a fairly straightforward process to actually order the paper.

BUT - I was shocked at the real price of a paper! Before I get to their outrageous pricing, though, let me tell you that you can’t pick your writer. However, you are forced to pay quite a bit more for a supposedly native English-speaking writer.

You should never have to pay more for someone who speaks English! Let’s get that straight right now. Never pay more for a native English-speaking writer!

Regardless, it’s insulting that the writers at EduGenie.net don’t even review the requirements first. How can they possibly know whether they match your specific needs? And don't get me started on their "freebies."

They state this proudly as if they are doing you a favor by including vital content such as a cover page, referencing, and correct formatting

EduGenie Writers: They’re 100% Not American!

Despite claims from EduGenie.net that they work with native English-speaking writers (like you and me), the proof to the contrary is easy to find…

It’s right at the bottom of their website. Besides, if their writers are as qualified (and numerous) as they claim, where are all the reviews for these “professionals?”

We can’t find a single one!

Notice that EduGenie’s parent company is registered in Gibraltar. Huh? What this means is that they’re a foreign essay writing service. Think about it: Would you register your website in Gibraltar? No! Because no one would unless they were from there.

These writers use broken English and do not understand Western culture in the same way you or I do. In fact, one of the top complaints - aside from PLAGIARISM - is the poor use of English in the paper you get back from these “professionals."

On the other hand, Killer Papers works exclusively with a team of USA college-graduate writers (like myself), ensuring that your goals and quality expectations are always met.

EduGenie.net - Site Usability

It’s a simple, bland website with the same generic, cartoonish look as other foreign essay-writing services. I can say this for them - their website isn’t as visually cluttered as others. They make the ordering process relatively simple, and getting lost on the site is pretty impossible.

Their primary goal is to get you to cough up your cash, and it shows quite clearly in their website design.

They want you to think they have tons of reviews, a near-perfect satisfaction rate, and American writers. None of that is true; it takes mere seconds to figure that out.

I would say go check out the reviews for yourself for EduGenie.net on SiteJabber, but there are none!

So, here’s a question: Why does EduGenie.net claim to have a bunch of near-perfect reviews on SiteJabber when you can see above that there are ZERO?

Look below, and you’ll see that they claim to have 4.9 stars on Sitejabber.

I can’t come up with anything good to say about EduGenie.net; apparently, neither can anyone else. Think about it. Where are all the reviews? Normally, people leave reviews when they’re really happy or really mad about an item or service they’ve paid good money to acquire. So, where are EduGenie.net’s reviews?

On the other hand, Killer Papers understands the need for continuous investment and website adaptation, offering a user-friendly platform where you can talk to 4+ writers BEFORE paying.

Students can DM the owner, KP, directly on Instagram with questions about any aspect of the ordering process. We know the essay writing niche can be scary, especially if you’re a first-timer.

Because of this, Killer Papers is available nearly 24/7 to answer your DMs (I don’t know if he has much of a life outside of working on Killer Papers!)

EduGenie.net Customer Support & Social Media

EduGenie.net has NO social media! It’s like they don’t even care about establishing a reputation for trust and a desire to engage with their customers. You’re simply a number to them…

Or should I say a dollar sign?

Look at their homepage. EduGenie.net doesn’t even have an “About Us” section to help you see who you’re dealing with if you choose to purchase a paper with them.

Killer Papers stands out in its consistent social media presence. This promotes a strong community vibe and provides prompt support, primarily since students can directly message the owner, KP, on Instagram. We’ve got years of reviews going back to early 2017 - just look up Killer Papers on Instagram, and you’ll see for yourself.

It’s not clear who the owner of EduGenie.net is, but they’ve gone to great lengths to stay anonymous. Why does it matter, you ask? When someone is operating a business online and asking you to pay your hard-earned money for their goods and services, doesn’t it help to know they’re human? To know they care?

To understand that there is a real person with real emotion and empathy on the other end of the transaction?

When a business doesn’t want you to know who is running the show, it’s a sign that they don’t care about their customers as living, breathing people with real needs.

EduGenie.net Review - Writing Quality

The main thing you need to know if you’re considering buying a paper from EduGenie.net is that just as you couldn’t write a paper for a foreign (non-English-speaking) student, a foreign writer struggles to write yours authentically.

Even without the “About Us” section or any writer profiles, you can safely assume that these services pay the writers as little as $1/hour! Can you imagine the quality they put out for such a low rate? In their defense, who would be motivated by such a small payout? As you know, writing papers isn’t easy!

Right off the bat, in one of their sample essays, their formatting is not up to the latest standards. The language they use is awkward and simplistic, and there are no transition sentences.

The headers are incorrect, the title page is wrong, and there are references in the introductory paragraph. If you tried to submit something like this, you would RIGHTLY be taken to task for such shoddy work! The image below is taken from the same paper, demonstrating a painful lack of English proficiency.

In fact, one of the most consistent complaints about EduGenie.net is that the writing quality is sub-par. And what do we have HERE?

Hidden away at the bottom of the page, EduGenie.net makes a disclaimer that the work they provide is for research purposes only, NOT for submission for academic credit! Then what are you even paying for?

EduGenie.net Review - How Is Their Pricing?

The price point at EduGenie.net is higher than average. Plus, they try to talk you into picking a “better” writer for a LOT more money. Even then, who is to say you’ll get that “better” writer once you’ve paid?

There’s no way to prove your writer’s credentials, but it would be nice to at least talk with the writer, to pick them or pass on them, you know?

At least at Killer Papers, you are guaranteed to be an American or Canadian writer! You can also pick your writer at Killer Papers, unlike EduGenie.net.

EduGenie’s pricing is higher than the average $25-$27 per page you can easily find online. Since they use foreign writers whom they pay pennies compared to American writers, this seems like blatant price gouging.

How does EduGenie prove that for about $13 upcharge for a 1-page paper, you will really get the quality of writer they’re promising? These writers have most likely never even been on an American college campus!
