To think globally is to tap into universal knowledge. One strategy could be the connection through arts and culture. In my opinion, the collaboration design in the classroom mirrors the facilitator's experiences, ideals, and dreams. I wrote about this in some lines of my PhD thesis, which focused on guiding educational managers to enhance their experience of classroom energy and to mold unique experiences. I strongly believe that a facilitator's passions, readings, and cultural nature can guide learning in original ways.
In my own experience, while focusing on collaborative planning and alternative learning strategies, I developed a plan tailored for a global approach. This plan not only aligns with the international mindedness fostered in IB schools but also aims to enhance learning and collaboration.
Just as every expert and individual occupies a distinct place in the universe, so too does the facilitator's influence manifest uniquely in the classroom. Operating on the premise that the facilitator is either already an expert or on the path to becoming one, I strongly contend that their passions, readings, and cultural background can significantly influence the direction of learning in original ways. The possibilities for direction are only limited by the diversity of the facilitators themselves. With numerous creative facilitators come numerous innovative approaches to learning, each possessing inherent value.

One facilitator may craft a collaboration plan drawing from literature and film, another may integrate music, while yet another may employ economic principles. These approaches can intersect and draw from multiple disciplines. For instance, in my own experience, students demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and achieved excellent results when learning direct and indirect speech through music examples and journalism, engaging in collective singing and role-playing television scenarios.
Furthermore, in my exploration of educational practices, I have found that embracing a global perspective enhances the effectiveness of collaborative learning. By integrating elements of global awareness, such as cultural diversity, international issues, and interconnectedness, facilitators can broaden students' horizons and foster a deeper understanding of the world around them. This global approach not only enriches the learning experience but also prepares students to navigate an increasingly interconnected and interdependent global society.
