Educational Thinking : think like an EDUCATOR !!
in a breif :
the same as we say Design thinking ( to think and act like a designer do ) , I want to invite the world to what we can call it Educational Thinking ( to think and act like what should optimum Educator do )

In my previous years when moving from country to another and from conference to another interested in trainers and teachers professional development . I found a lot of people asking teachers to think as scientist ( scientific thinking ) , or as a product/service designer ( Design thinking ) , or as game designer ( gamification thinking ) ,and other thinking mindsets and processes.
But what we are really missing to ask the teacher and trainer to think and act like an EDUCATOR , and we can initially call this EDUCATIONAL THINKING , why not :) .
what does that mean ?
I mean being an Educator is totally different than what traditional teachers and trainers now are doing . And my philosophy actually in this track is not to ask teachers only to be an educator , BUT i want to ask every one in the society from his position and his view to think and act like an Educator .
So the Question I want to raise and ask Myself and other people interested in the topic to find an answer for it is : How Do Optimum Educator Think ?
Seems common sense , but this common sense seems not to be a common practice or an easy question to answer .
I would like to search for some literature review in this domain if any one answers this question before and would like to survey others of their opinion ?
Those are just an initial thoughts in this article and although I have some initial draft answers but i prefer to keep the question open and hope to find the time and interest to dig deep more and find others interested in the topic to discuss together .

6 年I like the idea and this is what I’ve been calling for all my life Think like an Educator : 1. Respect the psychological needs of the learner and act accordingly ( this includes lotssssss of knowledge actually) 2. While Delivering trigger the mind of the learner through provocation as this is how the brain ?? learns NOT THROUGH LECTURING 3.BE a mentor to your learners and keep life long relationship , it’s not enough to have a mission, helping others to have a mission is as important ( transcendence )

6 年Educators or teachers have to look out of the box - to teach as per given curriculum is not enough anymore - students need to be involved into the topics - here how they think - group work and assingments can point out so many different answers - just on one topic - time does not stop - so it requires always a change in approach and in the way of teaching.

6 年The optimum educator shall adopt a message, be an inspired leadership, spread, develop & mentor the people. Hereby, the educator would be an oracle counselor rather than just an optimum educator.

6 年According to me, a good educator is the one that is able to understand what are the needs of his educators. He or she should work on to cause a change in their attitudes inorder to transfer the information he has to them and lead them to be the leaders of the future. So, simply to be an optimistic educator, one should lable his aim, has a faith in change, and a believe in his educators. He should set his mind to has a positive influence on his educators and lead them to search , analyze, and by tge way look for deep experience.

6 年To me, Educator is that one who nourishes or train the one to be educated and provide him/with knowledge and skilks on that particular piece but when we are looking at the angle of education, the educator should be the agent of total transformation of the learner to undergo through the complete change of behaviour and the way he/she thinks should be chanelled toward the attainment of this complete change.
