Education & Society: Complimentary as well as Complementary to each other

Education & Society: Complimentary as well as Complementary to each other

Education is the foundation of any civilized society. In order to gauge the potentials of a nation, it's imperative to behold or assess its academic standards. Teachers and their taught play a key role in the vital context. Teachers are sanely called the builders of the nation while students are precisely defined as the pillars of the society.

Teachers are the builders of the nation while students are the pillars of the society

Pragmatically speaking, education today is not what it used to be in the past. There are radical changes in the concept, application and viability of teaching. Apart from ethics, the present day education aims at making students complete, rational human beings capable of taking their proper place in the competitive modern society. 21st century is an era of stiff, cut-throat professional rivalry and mere book worms sadly find themselves out of place in the present set-up. Education should prepare alumni for better tomorrow by shaping the youth into scintillating all-rounders.

A candle lights a lamp but a teacher lights a soul

Here comes the role of teachers. It's the sacred duty of the builders of the nation to equip their budding learners with latest knowledge or trends of the stream they are in for their studies. It is prudently said that the future of a nation is built in its class-rooms. Again, it is an apt epigram that a candle lights a lamp but a teacher lights a soul. Only a teacher who is ethically called Guru leads his pupils from darkness to light. Good teachers are ever burning lamps of accumulated wisdom. They belong to eternity and know not themselves where their influence stops.

Knowledge can be obtained with one's head bowed down in true humility

It is the pious duty as well as obligation on the part of the pillars of society to show due reverence to the makers of their destiny. It is rightly averred that knowledge can be obtained with one's head bowed down in true humility. Without an iota of doubt, a learner has to be softer than dust.

If the teachers and the students work in perfect conformity, they will be in a position to help the nation and the society tread on the golden path of progress and prosperity. The real purpose of education will be fulfilled if the two march together hand in hand like the two banks of a river in perfect harmony and consonance.

Insightful article Dr. Yogesh Chander Sood!? Education systems everywhere need some updating and overhauling.? Here in the States kids are forced to learn things simply to pass standardized tests--there's no other benefit.? Teachers teach lessons only so their students can pass a test.? What's the value in that?? ?I totally agree with you, we're not educating people the way we used to.? We need to nourish the soul, encourage growth and development and challenge students to become lifelong learners.? ? I enjoyed this article, my friend!!?
